After months of planning and development, we are delighted to unveil our new website.
The Holburne was selected for the Bloomberg Philanthropies Digital Accelerator Programme in 2025, which supports arts organisations to invest in strategic improvements to their technology infrastructure.
Thanks to this invaluable investment, we have developed a new WordPress site, supported by a new integrated CRM system to help grow and strengthen our memberships, and a new online shop powered by Shopify.
Sophie Woodward, Head of Communications & Development, led the project: “We are incredibly grateful for the generous support and insight of Bloomberg Philanthropies. As a small independent museum that doesn’t receive any core funding, making this kind of significant investment in our digital infrastructure was out of reach, but the resulting platforms will be transformational for our team, and we hope will support us to grow our audience reach, and our income.”
The new website aims to improve the user experience for visitors, highlighting what’s on display and providing richer insights into the historic collections.
A new online shop powered by Shopify will enable us to improve our e-commerce offer, and behind the scenes a new CRM system to improve how we communicate with our members and manage our network of supporters. Importantly for our small team, this new infrastructure will streamline many of our administrative processes.
We look forward to sharing further insights on the impact of the site in the coming months.
We’d love to hear any feedback on the site! If you have any comments or suggestions, please email Sophie: s.woodward@holburne.org
About Bloomberg Philanthropies Digital Accelerator Programme for Arts and Culture
Launched in 2021, the programme was designed to help arts organisations stabilise and thrive in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic through strategic improvements to technology infrastructure. The programme supports leadership development and infrastructure investment that builds audiences, increases fundraising, drives revenue, delivers dynamic programming, and helps organisations work more efficiently and effectively in support of their strategic objectives.
