Accessibility

The Holburne Museum is fully accessible for all visitors.

Car park

We have parking spaces for Blue Badge holders.

Entrance

There is level access to our front door which opens and closes automatically. The ground floor is level and is where you’ll find our Cafe.

Lift

We have a lift to all floors

Wheelchairs

You are welcome to pre-book a wheelchair for your visit. Please call us 01225 388569.
If you need assistance or if your mobility is impaired, please ask our Front of House staff for help. They are stationed at the Information Desk on the ground floor. Alternatively ask a Gallery Steward to call a member of the team for assistance.

Seating

We have benches or chairs in all of our galleries and in the Entrance Hall and on the First Floor landing.

Toilets

There is a wheelchair accessible toilet on the ground floor, and further toilets are on the lower ground floor, which are accessible via the lift from any floor.
Both the men’s and women’s toilets have baby changing facilities.

Labels

We have large print labels available in most of our galleries. If you have questions about any of the items on show, our volunteers will be happy to assist.

Hearing loop

We have a hearing induction loop at the Reception Desk and also in the Picture Gallery on the Second Floor for lectures and events, and in the Clore Learning Space where some smaller events are held. Your hearing aid will need to be set to ‘T’.

Telephone

We don’t have a public telephone in the Museum. However, if you need to call a taxi or make a call for assistance our team at the Information Desk on the ground floor will be more than happy to help you.

Assistance dogs

Assistance Dogs are welcome throughout the Museum.
Non assistance dogs are welcome on the ground floor and in the Cafe.

Visual Guide

This Visual Guide is a resource intended to facilitate the preparation of the museum visit to people who understand better through images.
