From 1 July, the Holburne will become a cashless venue, with electronic payments accepted across the Museum, including the admissions desk, shop and car park.
This change follows the introduction of our new payment system and is designed to make transactions quicker, simpler and more secure for both visitors and staff. The Museum Café has operated successfully as a cashless business since 2024.
Visitors will be able to pay using all major debit and credit cards, as well as contactless payment methods including Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Moving to cashless payments also reduces the administration and security requirements associated with handling cash, allowing our small team to focus on providing the best possible visitor experience.
We understand that this represents a change for some of our visitors, and we appreciate your understanding as we introduce this new way of paying.
