Fantastic Mr Fox
Friday 29 July

Beautiful stop motion animation brings Roald Dahl’s classic story to life (with a few extras thrown in). Mr and Mrs Fox are voiced by George Clooney and Meryl Streep and their epic struggle against the farmers Boggis, Bunce and Bean is a joy for all ages. Directed by Wes Anderson – and featuring the Little Theatre Cinema. (PG)
We are offering lots of free creative art activities, including foxy face painting, before the film starts.

Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World
Saturday 30 July

Adventure ahoy! Russell Crowe and Paul Bettany star in this epic maritime tale, based on the hugely popular books by Patrick O’Brian. It’s 1805 and swordswishing swashbuckler Jack Aubrey, Captain of the frigate HMS Surprise, pushes his boat and crew to their limits in pursuit of the the French privateer Acheron, chasing victory on the high seas. Hurrah!
Holburne himself saw action at Trafalgar, so we thought he would approve of this taste of Napoleonic nauticality. (12A)
