Gardener’s Lodge Art Group
A friendly, supportive art group to build confidence, creativity and connection.
The Gardener’s Lodge Art Group (GLAG) is a welcoming, mental health–aware creative group based at the The Holburne Museum.
It’s a safe and encouraging space where you can:
- Develop your art skills
- Try new creative techniques
- Meet like-minded people
- Build confidence and wellbeing
GLAG is our most supported and structured group, making it an ideal starting point for anyone new to the Pathways to Wellbeing programme.
Sessions are gently structured and fully supported, with a maximum of 10 participants to ensure a calm and welcoming environment.
No previous art experience is needed — just a willingness to have a go.
What You’ll Do
Each 23-week programme includes three different creative projects, led by experienced specialist artists. Projects may include: Ceramics, Screen-printing, Silk painting other hands-on creative techniques.
All materials are provided.

📍 Location: The Holburne Museum, Bath (occasionally other Bath museums)
📅 When: Wednesday afternoons (weekly)
🗓 Start dates: April and September
⏳ Length: 23 weeks (three creative projects)
👥 Group size: Maximum 10 participants

- Self-referrals
- Referrals from support workers or other professionals

It’s really helped me. In the past few weeks I’ve felt myself crawl out of my hole. Coming here and being with an empathetic group, I’ve felt inspired to go home and carry on and have started quilting and sewing again. It’s early days but I feel the raincloud starting to lift
