Holburne Future Collective

Welcome to the Holburne Future Collective (aka the HFC)!
We’re a group of 18-26 year-old volunteers from a range of backgrounds, brought together by our shared passion for museums and galleries. We want to spread this passion to others of our generation, defining the Holburne as a space for young adults in the process.
As the voice of young people at the Holburne, we bring fresh ideas and makes them happen. Through our work as a collective we hope to make our museum a place that welcomes and inspires young people, all while building the hands-on experience vital to launching a career in the Arts and Heritage sector. Specifically, we produce events, from themed museum Up Lates to artist-led workshops, often in collaboration with other arts organisations and local festivals, and offer a behind-the-scenes perspective on the Holburne’s permanent collection and temporary exhibitions through regular content on our Instagram (@holburnefuturecollective), TikTok (@holburnemuseum), and current projects.
Give our socials a follow to keep up with our current work!
The programme runs annually from September to June, with a new committee each academic year building on the initiatives of those before them. While this year’s committee has now been formed, we’re always on the lookout for young people keen to get involved in our exciting calendar of events. Sounds like something you’d be interested in? Drop Spencer Hancock an email at s.hancock@holburne.org. In the meantime, you can also head to this page to explore the full range of volunteering opportunities on offer at the Holburne.
