Image: Peer-Supported Creative Group
A creative group for building independence, confidence and shared ownership.
IMAGE is a peer-supported creative group for people with lived experience of mental health challenges who are ready to take the next step in their creative journey.
Based at the The Holburne Museum, IMAGE supports members to develop their creativity alongside others — sharing skills, building confidence and supporting one another in a collaborative environment.
This group is designed for people with lower support needs who are ready for greater independence.
It is ideal for those who have completed the Gardener’s Lodge Art Group (GLAG), or who have similar experience in a supported creative setting.
What You’ll Do
Over 23 weeks, you will take part in three creative projects.
Each project includes:
- Some taught sessions with a specialist artist
- Independent peer-supported sessions where you develop your own work
- Opportunities to build on skills you’ve learned
- Space to share ideas, feedback and encouragement
IMAGE is about growing creative confidence and taking ownership of your artistic practice — within a supportive group community.

Being part of the groups has really been part of my journey of recovery. It was so difficult when I first started and now it’s such a joy to be here and it’s much easier to get here. I’ve grown so much in confidence and even if I’m having a bad day, I feel safe enough to just play and have a go.
