Arty Jackson and Carys Lewin are ‘Humm’ a Bath-based contemporary folk duo with stories to tell, minds to change and world’s to re-imagine. Chosen from hundreds as one of four acts to visit, write and perform at Sir Paul & Mike McCartney’s childhood home 20 Forthlin Road, Liverpool as part of the Forthlin Sessions in 2022.
Since 2018 they’ve captivated audiences with their deadly combination of melodic finger-style guitar, lush ethereal vocals and rich harmonium drones. Capturing nature, folklore and Cornish fairytale in every song. Inspired by a plethora of artists from Richard Thompson and Joni Mitchell to Eels,
Radiohead and XTC has helped them unite traditional and contemporary styles forging a fresh new sound.
Humm are fighting and writing for the planet. Striving to create and share their unique, eclectic repertoire with all who will heed.
