Come to the Holburne on Friday for a festive evening to pick up thoughtful gifts from a range of local artists and makers, away from the hubbub of the city centre. With a programme of live music, and festive food and drink stalls, it promises to be a special evening to get you into the Christmas spirit!
Carefully curated stalls
28 stalls will spread throughout the Museum’s galleries, offering a range of gifts for all the family. Following an open call, the Holburne team selected a range of local artists and makers which represent the region’s amazing creativity. Stalls will include unique prints and cards, handmade jewellery, ceramic tableware, stylish homeware, children’s toys and Christmas decorations (see Notes to Editors for full list of stalls).
Live music
Glastonbury Brass will welcome visitors outside the Museum from 5.30pm, while a snow machine will transform the entrance to a picturesque white winter – just like the ones you used to know! Once inside the Museum, enjoy a range of traditional Christmas carols, played by our talented volunteer Judith, on the Steinway Concert Grand Piano at the top landing. Finally at 8pm, the fabulous Some Voices Choir will perform a range of Christmas classics with a modern twist on the terrace outside the Garden Café.
Festive food and drink
The Apero Bar will be serving mulled wine, hot toddies and boozy hot chocolates from the front lawn. Sugarcane Studio are selling a range of festive sweet treats from the chalet in the back garden. The Canned Wine Company will provide further mulled wine, alongside their range of quality wines (which happen to be in a can!). And the Holburne Garden Café will be open all evening offering hot and cold drinks and snacks.
