Holburne Holiday Art Camps: Important Information for Parents

Our fun, creative art camps are designed for children aged 6-11 years all inspired by our unique collection and changing exhibition’s programme. Each day runs from 9 – 4pm.

Booking Terms and Conditions

When you book these Terms and Conditions define the agreement between us and let you know what to expect from the Holburne Museum and what we expect from you.

If you have any questions about our Terms and Conditions, please email Learning and Engagement Officer, Anna Highley a.highley@holburne.org.

Art Camp Consent Form

It is the responsibility of the person making the booking to ensure that the on-line Art Camp Consent Form is completed and that all details provided are accurate, in particular full information about each child, including medical and other special educational needs, and emergency contact information. If we do not have all this information your booking will not be processed and your child will not be registered on the art camp.

Children with Additional Needs

It is essential to discuss any special needs your child may have with the Learning and Engagement Officer  prior to booking to assess the suitability of the Art Camps for your child (01225 388568) and the levels of support we are able to offer. The Museum is fully accessible, with an accessible toilet on the ground floor.

Child Safety

All artists leading the camps have current Disclosure and Barring Service certificates. A copy of the Holburne Museum’s Safeguarding Policy is available on request.

Illness & Medication

If a child becomes ill during the day we will contact you or the named emergency contacts on the consent form and ask you to collect them. It is therefore essential that this information is correct and amended if there are changes on the day. Please ensure that you or the emergency contact has a mobile switched on at all times.

Please do not send your child to Art Camp if they are unwell particularly if they have any Covid symptoms OR sickness or diarhoea in the previous 48 hours.

In the event of an accident, first aid will be administered to children in our care, and the emergency services will be called if necessary.

Please declare all of your child’s relevant medical conditions, phobias etc. on the Art Camp Consent Form. If your child needs medication to be administered by a member of staff, please provide a letter of authorisation to that effect. Essential prescribed medication including EpiPens must be handed to a Holburne member of staff when registering your child for safe-keeping.

Clothing & Valuables

Aprons are provided but children should wear old clothes appropriate for messy art work and comfortable shoes that are suitable for outdoor play. We recommend that children bring a sun hat and sun cream or rain-coat, as appropriate, for outside play at lunchtime.

We ask that valuable items are left at home; the Holburne Museum cannot be held responsible for any items that may get lost or damaged.
