Free sessions for 16-25 year olds to explore their creative side

The Holburne Museum is launching a brand new creative group to support young men aged 16-25 in and around Bath and Wiltshire. Inspired by Mr Doodle’s museum takeover, the group will work with an artist to explore their drawing, doodling and graffiti skills.

It will offer a safe, caring space for any young man who has faced barriers to exploring their creativity, has struggled with their mental health or experienced isolation. No art experience is necessary to join.

Louise Campion Head of Learning & Engagement at the Holburne Museum said: “Using Mr Doodle’s amazing installation as our starting point, we wanted to encourage young men to explore their creative side in a safe, mental health-aware space. We know that there are a huge range of pressures out there, but as Mr Doodle himself has said, the act of doodling and drawing can be really beneficial for mental wellbeing.”

The group will run for 6 weeks in June and July, and will support up to 8 young men.

  • Dates: 4, 11, 18, 25 June; 2, 9 July
