Lovely gifts from Holburne
In our shop you can find art ideas and books as well as souvenirs and gifts inspired by our collection of decorative arts and eighteenth-century paintings. The books are carefully selected by our director and the gifts range from exclusive artists' work and beautiful nineteenth-century china to good pocket money treats like our nice sandalwood fans.
Our most popular decorative gifts are boxwood Japanese netsuke figures, depicting different animals and mythical creatures. They are hand carved by Japanese artists, every piece is unique and is signed by the author.
Our choice of home-ware and decorative gifts includes handmade pewter spoon and bowl sets from Wiltshire as well as bone china mugs, shopping bags, and linen tea towels with an image of the Georgian facade of the Museum for £9.95, £9.95 and £7.95 respectively. We also sell colourful tin plates decorated with historic designs, including one with our very own ‘tobacco leaf’ design. They are practical, beautiful and inexpensive at only £5.95. They make an ideal choice for garden parties and picnics.
Our range of genuine early nineteenth-century china is sourced by our decorative arts curator, Matthew Winterbottom. The selection includes fine bone china teapots, cups and saucers, jugs, sugar bowls and plates. Most of them have been produced by the Spode factory. Prices start at £25.
Our jewellery includes quirky teapot necklaces, vintage style watch pendants, and most importantly, Holburne exclusive and yet affordable glass earrings and pendants made with love by local glass artist Gill Silversides.
To encourage children of different ages to make the most of their natural talent, we offer a range of finger printing kits, drawing and colouring books, and branded stationery for schoolchildren.
