About this event
A celebration of the 250th anniversary of the great Romantic poet William Wordsworth (1770-1850), whose collaboration with S. T. Coleridge, The Lyrical Ballads, was published in the West Country in 1798.

This event will feature short talks by Professor Dinah Birch (Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Cultural Engagement and Professor of English Literature, University of Liverpool, CBE), Jeff Cowton (Curator and Head of Learning, Wordsworth Grasmere, AMA, MBE), Professor Stephen Gill (biographer of Wordsworth and Emeritus Professor, University of Oxford), and Bath Spa’s Professor Robert Morrison (British Academy Global Professor) and Professor John Strachan (Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Research and Enterprise), with readings of Wordsworth’s poetry.

This free event is part of the 2021/22 Bath Spa University Public Lecture Series at the Holburne Museum.
