Science and Art
- This event has passed.
Science and Art is an exploration of how science plays a huge role in the detection of art forgeries.
People often see art and science as unrelated, but they are more intertwined than thought. The techniques used to detect art forgeries rely on different types of light, such as infrared, ultraviolet or X-Rays, to understand the different properties of paintings.
Physics students from the University of Bath are holding an event in the CLORE learning space, from 11am to 4pm 9th April, on how science is used to detect art forgeries. There will be activities suitable for all ages, so come along to find out more and see the science in action!
