Our Volunteer group Reframed are back to take over another Up Late with fashion, film, food and fans!
After huge success with their other events expect creative workshops, films, music and more.
Throughout the evening you can enjoy:
- Live Music from the Up Late All Stars in the Garden
- BBQ and Bar on our Garden Terrace
- Discounted entry to ‘Don McCullin: Broken Beauty – images from legendary photographer Sir Don McCullin’s long career (£8/free to members) – last chance to see!
- Zandra Rhodes, 15-minute documentary reeling all evening. FREE
- Conservation Station – an immersive introduction to conservation at the Holburne. Find out how your support can impact future projects.
- Creative Craft Workshop (Free) take inspiration from Zandra Rhodes: A life in Print and design your own paddle fan just in time for summer!

It’s the last chance to be immersed in the life and works of Dame Zandra Rhodes, one of Britain’s most famous textile and fashion designers. Visit for free, her acclaimed exhibition ‘A Life in Print’, a spectacular selection of iconic garments from the swinging 60s, 70s and 80s (closing 10 May). Learn more about Zandra Rhodes with an intriguing short film documentary, reeling throughout the evening.
Museums are more than just displays; they tell stories. Conservation Station is the evening’s unique immersive opportunity to explore the magically transformative world of conservation. Come and talk to the Holburne’s team about the conservation and funding needs for an exquisite, but sadly distressed pair of 1850s Chinese kingfisher‑feather and silk circular fans. Encounter these extraordinary fans up close, explore the science and skill behind their care, and discover the hidden stories woven into their materials.
Feeling inspired? Drop into the Creative Workshop to print your own padel fan in Zandra Rhodes’ style, Chinois chic, or whatever inspires you on the night!
But if you’re not in the mood for culture and just want to chill after a busy week, no problem! Relax on the Holburne Café terrace and listen to the fab Up Late All Stars, our much-loved local live band performing a special ZandraR 70s and 80s play list, alongside their signature Jazz.
Buy your glass of fizz, purchase your BBQ-themed food selection from the Holburne Café’s garden kitchen and make an evening of Film – Fashion – Fans and of course, fun.
