John Law (Midi keyboards and laptop)
Jon Lloyd (Saxophone)
Patrick Dunn (Visuals)

In partnership with no_place_arts

Join us for an evening of music and art with composer John Law, saxophonist Jon Lloyd and acclaimed visual artist Patrick Dunn (read detailed biographies). Expect a night of ambient, minimalist music played over electronic loops of sacred vocal scores (including samplings of Byrd, Tallis, Palestrina, Victoria, Josquin and Ockeghem) and paired with synchronised and expressive light-art.

Enjoy ethereal, ambient improvisations with subtle jazz undertones in response to the vocal scores, visuals and surrounds of the Holburne’s Picture Gallery.

Between the three artists the credits are too many to list but returning to the Holburne where he played his Goldberg variations in 2016, John Law is one of Europe’s most acclaimed and versatile contemporary jazz pianists and we are very proud to host this latest work.

(Garden Café open for drinks, 6.30-7.30pm)
