Holiday Drop-In - Puppet People

Make simple puppets based on some of the characters in our portraits. Inspired by the Lacon family - famous puppeteers in 18th-century Bath.

A brief talk or demonstration followed by a hands-on workshop led by professional artists for the whole family to discover contemporary arts practice. Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult. To book call 01225 388569

‘I'm a Plaster Caster...' with Louise Campion
Explore texture through a hands-on workshop casting your own plaster relief! Be prepared to get messy as the session will include working with clay and plaster.

'I'm an Artist Who Uses Sketchbooks...' with Karen Wallis
Karen depicts the everyday world in a drawing journal. Using the sketchbooks from her Holburne development project residency, she will show you ways to collect your observations through drawing and discuss how they can be used for future artwork.

Find out about the exciting world of designing sets and costumes for the stage by creating your own miniature models for a real play.

‘I'm an Abstract Artist...' with Peter Dickinson
Discover what inspires Peter and how he creates his Architectural Practice cut outs. Then learn how to make your own cut out to take home.
