The Smallest Show on Earth
Friday 11 July, 7.30pm IN CONVERSATION with Tessa Farmer, Tim Cockerill and Dr Petra Lange-Berndt
Tessa Farmer’s installation “Unwelcome Visitors” comprises of malevolent skeleton fairies and their insect cohorts which will be infesting our galleries. Zoologist Tim Cockerill and art historian Dr Petra Lange-Berndt will discuss Tessa’s technical challenge in displaying her developing mythology and fantastical world.
Café open for pre-talk drinks at 7pm.

Julian Opie and No Nonsense
Thursday 17 July, 7pm. FILM AND TALK.
Jonathan Watkins, Director of Birmingham’s internationally acclaimed Ikon Gallery, offers a survey of Opie’s work referencing pieces from the current exhibition. The talk will be preceded by a short film which includes an interview with Opie.
Café open for pre-talk drinks at 6.30pm.
